Here are additional details about what we're doing as part of our 100 Day Plan:
- Educating statewide supporters about the critical April 3rd election for state Supreme Court justice, including hiring an organizer to get out the vote on college campuses statewide.
- Advocating for domestic partner health care benefits, including ongoing public education and supporting Governor Doyle's call for UW employee domestic partner benefits.
- Assessing possibilities for proactive legislation, including ways to expand basic protections for LGBT families.
- Reactivating statewide Action Networks to continue giving supporters a way to make a difference where they live. (Stay tuned for information about upcoming meetings in your area.)
- Exploring the creation of a separate statewide political action committee that would back candidates who firmly support fairness.
- Utilizing our strong relationships with statewide media to educate the public about the impact of discrimination on LGBT people.
- Creating a practical legal guide about what the amendment means for LGBT families.
- Closely monitoring efforts by our opposition to use the amendment to challenge existing protections for LGBT families.
